North Elementary School students are having fun learning all about the art of engineering!

In April, students read the book, "A Truck Full of Ducks," a fun book about a duck delivery service.

The North family groups, made up of students from different grade levels, were asked to figure out how to carry ten ducks across a pool of water.

The students put their heads together to plan, design and finally construct custom boats.

Ms. Kelly Torres, LMS Specialist, said the students used the four C's - collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking - to construct prototypes of boats that can carry the ducks across the water without sinking.
